On a recent trip to Paris, I was struck by all the casual well dressed women walking around. No leggings, no baseball hats, no Stanley water tumblers and very little head to toe black. As a native New Yorker who moved to Connecticut, I am well aware of the uniforms that we wear. I always thought we looked cool but now it seems boring.
The French women don't just wear their clothes, they style it, easily. Accessories are part of the daily outfit. A scarf, an interesting hat, one big piece of jewelry, pop of color gloves, mixing textures and proportions of pants to jackets, a non labeled hand bag, something old and new. They make it look so effortless, casual, chic and cool.

There are no Lilly stores in Paris, but I would love to see how the Parisians would style this classic American design in to their wardrobe. We have lots of great pieces to let you explore your inner Parisian fashion flare. Pair the Lilly Shirt under a sweater vest or chic midi skirt and you are ready for a tour of the Louvre.
